Stacks Mapping Solution for a Better User Experience

As online access to library resources has become the norm, browsing habits have changed. In order to respond to users’ needs, I designed and developed a custom web application that provided a unique library service by assisting users navigate stacks remotely. When using this web app, users spent less time navigating the physical stacks searching for specific items. Although this project was designed during the COVID-19 pandemic, the time savings may be of particular benefit to patrons who wish to minimize time in shared spaces.
