Guided by Values: Creating and Implementing an Open Values Statement
The Library is committed to advancing Open and has engaged in a variety of activities in support of that commitment. Recognizing the Library doesn’t have the resources to make an impact in all areas of this work, we established an advisory group to assess current and future investments in open initiatives. The first step was to create an Open Values Statement, and thus a guidepost, for assessing how we invest in open scholarship and infrastructure. This presentation will describe the inclusive process used to develop the statement, share the values, and describe how the statement informs the advisory group’s work.
