Paulette HasierChief Geography and Map Division, Library of Congress
Paulette Marie Hasier has been the Chief of the Geography and Map Division at the Library of Congress for over five years. Hasier has nearly 26 years of library in academic, public, special, and corporate libraries as well as geospatial information program-management experience. Her previous positions include working for; Dallas Public Library, Southern Methodist University, OCLC, DARPA, and the National Geospatial Intelligence Agency. She he has a Ph.D. from UT Arlington in History and a MS in Library Science and History from UNT. Dr. Hasier is the ninth person and first woman to be named chief Geography and Map Division since its creation in 1897.
