Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Special Projects Showcase
Over the last few years, particularly since the 2020 summer of racial reawakening, many libraries have started special projects and initiatives to address diversity, equity, inclusion, and anti-racism in our collections, technology, staffing and leadership. This presentation showcase will highlight some of the ongoing or completed projects by librarians at public, academic, and special libraries.

Amber Billey is the Systems and Metadata Librarian at Bard College. She is Chair of the Leadership Team for the Core Metadata & Collection Section, is past Co-Chair of the Core Diversity and Inclusion Committee, serves on the Advisory Board for the Digital Transgender Archive, and the editorial board for the Homosaurus – a linked data thesaurus for the LGBTQ+ community. When she isn’t thinking about metadata and the future of libraries, Billey enjoys hiking in mountains, swimming in oceans, and sitting on meditation cushions.
