Cultivating Bibliodiversity in Electronic Collections with Alma Digital
Library professionals recognize that creators who are under-represented (or un-represented) by traditional publishing channels have a valuable place in library collections. Although we can identify these creators, we struggle with the logistics of how to deliver their work to our users when the content is not available via a publisher’s platform.
We will explain how we use Ex Libris’s Alma Digital to enrich our collection with digital content that is unavailable through traditional publishing channels. Topics will include our reasons for selecting the product, technical and procedural details, and practical tips on how to implement Alma Digital at your institution.
