Description
This workshop presents a practical approach to the links and relationships that connect the text of RDA with Policy Statements, Community Resources, and external documentation. It also compares options for encoding RDA metadata–MARC21, BIBFRAME, and RDA-RDF. The workshop includes participant exercises and concludes with a visioning exercise exploring linked data as the base for cataloging.

Stephen HearnStephen Hearn has spent his library career working in the areas of authority control and catalog management. He has been a contributor to the work of the Subject Analysis Committee and the MARC Advisory Committee. He is currently chair of the North American RDA Committee with an ex-officio role on the Committee on Cataloging: Description and Access.
